Proof of Colter's unique designs can be found in the way we are constantly changing
our floorplans to "customize" them to our buyer's always changing needs.
As an example,
the Paddington was once only available as a 3-bedroom plan. Then a buyer
asked if the third bedroom could be combined with the hall computer nook
to make a single open loft area. We went to the drawing board and sent the
plan shown here to her agent the next day. What had been a 3 bedroom plan
was now 2 bedrooms with a 12' x 18' loft-style retreat. It has proven to
be a very popular design and so now that plan is the "Standard" and the
3-bedroom version is the option.
Three distinctive floorplans, ranging from 1833 to 2142
square feet, offered with several room configurations for each, make it
possible for Colter to accommodate today's diverse families and their
different space needs. Our Plan "C" - the largest of the three - can be
had with a choice of 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms. Home offices, convertible "bonus
rooms" and dual master bedroom layouts are just some of the choices that
make Colter a development attuned to the times. If you have a space need
we don't offer, ask. If at all possible we'll include it for you. For
example, we can make the office in the Yorkshire into a darkroom for
serious photographers. Or even a nursery. How's that for flexibility?
As families once again make home the center of their
recreational life, "functionality" takes on added importance. Colter homes
"work" in a way few homes today do. Every square foot of interior space is
a part of the livable area of the home. And because today's families have
more "stuff" we've designed our homes with maximum storage space.
For example, the owners' walk-in master bedroom closets
are cavernous. Master baths feature over-sized lounging tubs separate from
the over-sized shower. Working couples will appreciate the dual seven-foot
sink with double basins. And by utilizing space under the stairways for
storage we're able to solve the problem of what a homeowner is to do with
occasional use items like luggage and seasonal decorations.
Choosing the right Colter home is as easy as A-B-C.
Plan
"A" is 1,833 square feet. Standard is 2 bedrooms and 2 ½
baths. There's an option that converts the rear portion of the loft area
outside the master bedroom to a third bedroom, and creates a roomy office
nook in the hallway. This plan, our lowest priced, also has the largest
master bedroom of all three plans.
Plan "B"
is 2,046 square feet. Standard is 2 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths with a loft
that overlooks the living room below. There's an option available to
convert the loft into a bedroom making this a 3-bedroom home. Both the 2
and 3-bedroom versions feature an 8' x 10' second floor in-home office
with French doors that open in to create the feeling of a covered patio in
this room.
Plan "C"
is 2,142 square feet. Standard is 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs,
and an office and another full bath downstairs making 3 baths total.
There's an option to convert the upstairs third bedroom into a sitting
room thereby making the master into a 2-room suite with a covered balcony.
Another option exists to convert the downstairs office into a fourth
bedroom for elderly residents or guests.
